DIY FAQ

What is a DIY Pool?

A DIY pool is one of the most cost‑effective ways for homeowners to build their dream backyard without paying the heavy markups charged by traditional middlemen. By taking control of the project and choosing where to hire help, you keep more of your budget focused on the pool—not on unnecessary contractor fees.

How do they work?

One of the biggest advantages of a DIY pool is flexibility. You decide how much of the project you want to take on and where you’d prefer to bring in help. Whether you handle every step yourself or hire skilled trades for the parts you’re not comfortable with, you still end up saving significantly compared to a traditional pool company managing the entire build.

Where do I start?

We offer a simple step‑by‑step process you can review anytime, but the very first—and most important—part of any pool project is checking with your local zoning and planning department. This ensures you understand setback requirements, easements, and any restrictions that may affect where your pool can be placed. Once you know the usable area of your backyard, every other part of the project becomes easier and more predictable.

What are my next steps?

Once you know the pool size that fits your space, getting pricing from us is quick and straightforward. Just reach out with your preferred dimensions, and we can provide rough quotes very quickly. For the most accurate pricing, we recommend setting aside about 30 minutes to talk through your options. There are many components and upgrades to consider, and walking through them together ensures you understand what each one does—rather than being pushed into whatever is easiest for a traditional pool company to sell.

What to Expect Next?

Once every detail of your custom pool is finalized, your order is sent to the manufacturer, where your pool is built to your exact specifications. After production, everything is palletized together and shipped directly to your driveway in one complete delivery.

We do this for several important reasons:

  • You have everything on-site from day one, allowing you to work at your own pace without waiting on missing components.

  • If anything is damaged in transit, we can address it immediately, preventing delays and keeping your project moving.

  • You receive brand‑new, factory‑sealed products, complete with all original paperwork and full manufacturer warranties.
